Android 2.2 on the T mobile G1 is out via cyanogen mod 6.0.0 RC1. It is amazing that the G1 was able to get Froyo before most of the high end phones such as the HTC Droid Incredible, Samsung Galaxy S or the Evo 4G. Keep in mind that this is not the official release and is still in the experimental stages of its development, however in the next few weeks we should see a full release from him. The mod is also out for multiple other devises such as the mytouch 3G and the Nexus one. You can grab the Rom from his website and while your at it buy him a beer. www.cyanogenmod.com Also if you are not rooted check out this rooting tutorial, it very helpful. www.youtube.com and This Wiki will answer all your questions about how you install CyanogenMod 6 wiki.cyanogenmod.com Guys don’t be scared of going to cyanogen forums and asking for help there are people there that are more that welcome to help you. I am not responsible for anything that you do to your phone. Again a big thanks to cyanogen and his team for making this happen.

Website: pocketnow.com Facebook www.facebook.com Twitter: twitter.com Go to bit.ly for the QR-Codes and Pocketnow post. In this week of the Android Application Weekly we review 5 great applications in 30 seconds each. The first application is called Coin Flip Full Free and it is a simple coin toss to help decide between two ideas, opinions, or options. Since most people these days do not carry around change, Coin Flip makes it convenient to have a coin on hand at all times. The program is free on the Android Market. The second program is ConvertPad and is capable of converting practically any unit to any other unit. There are more formulas and conversions than I knew existed. So until the US and other countries standardize every unit this program is invaluable. This application is free on the Android Market. The third application is Instant Heart Rate and it uses the build in camera of your Android device to calculate your heart rate. It works the same way as a pulse oximeter at your doctors office. It calculates the changes in color between oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood. Each color change then registers as a pulse. Instant Heart Rate works best with good lighting and having a build in camera flash is very useful. You can even use this as an unrooted flash light. The application is free on the Android Market. The forth program is Keeper and it stores and creates user names and passwords. If you want to backup your user names and passwords, you may either backup
