BearHug Inflatable Vest is one of award wining designs from RedDot concept which aims to improve the lives of children with autism. Autism has become growing concern for parents as this disorder affects as many as one in every 10 children in US. Bearhug works by providing evenly distributed pressure to kid’s body with sensors disorders like autism. This firm pressure is believed can help increase focus and attention as well as relieve anxiety. Just like a mother says that her son with autism likes deep pressure, it can calm him down, in fact, sometimes it’s a necessity like oxygen and water. Deep Pressure Therapy (DPT) has also shown great results when used on individual with stress and anxiety or any other mental health disorders.

BearHug Inflatable Vest for Deep Pressure Therapy

BearHug Inflatable Vest provides evenly-distributed pressure that can be controlled by the wearer allowing them to be independent and in control of regulating their sensory systems. The inflatable technology is concealed by fun outer-shell styles that also promote other sensory calming aids such as textured pockets for tactile stimulation. Children can press the teddybear’s paw to inflate the vest, but for safety, the vest won’t be able to place pressure on stomach or chest. The material used for outer shell is 100% recycled fabrics from PET bottles with attachable “feely” textured pockets to offer tactical stimulation for additional calming.

BearHug Inflatable Vest has been designed to look like a stylish jacket instead of a medical device, in this way, this vest can be worn almost anywhere and only inflated when needed. There’s no reason to get the children out of their classroom to get calming therapy as they can do it instantly. Aside from being one of winning designs from RedDot concept, BearHug Inflatable Vest is also an award winning design from Spark and Core77 which has received much interest from leading world experts in autism.

Safe Spark : Protective Sparkler Holder for Children by Kathleen Carron

Based on National Fire Protection Association, each year, sparklers cause more than 1,100 injuries where half of fireworks injuries sustained by children under 5 years of age. With this in mind, Kathleen Carron, an industrial designer, has come up with Safe Spark, a protective sparkler holder for children. As you already know, a hand held firework burns at a temperature of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit only few inches away from children’s hand. Using this cone shaped holder, children can hold sparklers without having to worry about injuring themselves or others around them.

There are 3 LED lights that can be activated through 3 buttons at the bottom of Safe Spark. Children can press the button to illuminate the environment when lighting a sparkler. When all sparklers have been burned, Safe Spark becomes a light toy.

Nature Energy Park : Playground That Teaches Children About Renewable Energy

With a motto of making children understand the importance of ecological alternative energies, a new concept called Natural Energy Park has been introduced. It is an experimental learning playground, which advocates kids to recognize the significance of global resources and realize the possibilities of renewable energy through a series of eco-friendly play apparatus. Additionally, some straightforward scientific principles are being illustrated via interactive installations. Included in the experimental learning playground is the Benjamin Franklin’s kite, a solar-powered optical illusion, a pinwheel cycle which illuminates a traffic sign, a seesaw which turns a waterwheel, a pinhole camera, a videophone periscope, a pedal-powered radio and an airplane flying in the air. These concepts emphasize the possibilities of renewable energy and other global resources, be it generating the electricity naturally, the movement of water and so on.

Little Mermaid Inflatable Water Toy For Wheelchair-Bound Children

Limited legs movement should not stop children to have fun playing in water. Cute Little Mermaid is an inflatable water toy that has been designed for wheelchair-bound children who can’t use their legs freely. Children can move this toy forward by turning the wheel with their hands; it’s a fun water toy. It provides exercise for the arms and helps with muscle development, while the gentle movement of the legs in the water is good for physical rehabilitation. Hopefully Little Mermaid provides the same level of fun as other children and builds better social skills.

This handy camera features stunning outlook and great functionality, giving your kids the opportunity to capture all their daylong activities and when it comes to tell the stories to you, they appear with their See.me and shows you pictures in large scale through the in-built projector. The ergonomic shape and size of the camera suits perfectly on the small hands of the small kids, giving maximum comfort during their daylong shooting. A shoulder strap makes it safe from getting lost or falling from hand accidentally.
