With a motto of making children understand the importance of ecological alternative energies, a new concept called Natural Energy Park has been introduced. It is an experimental learning playground, which advocates kids to recognize the significance of global resources and realize the possibilities of renewable energy through a series of eco-friendly play apparatus. Additionally, some straightforward scientific principles are being illustrated via interactive installations. Included in the experimental learning playground is the Benjamin Franklin’s kite, a solar-powered optical illusion, a pinwheel cycle which illuminates a traffic sign, a seesaw which turns a waterwheel, a pinhole camera, a videophone periscope, a pedal-powered radio and an airplane flying in the air. These concepts emphasize the possibilities of renewable energy and other global resources, be it generating the electricity naturally, the movement of water and so on.

This energy efficient clock uses light and a single gap on its surface to tell you the time. That’s why it’s called “Light Gap”. Light Gap is a simple clock that has nothing but a gap on its surface. You need to place it near glass window in order for this clock to draw solar energy from the sun. This energy powers its rotation. During the day, you can tell the time from the sunlight filtered through the gap. At night, this clock’s gap will illuminate the hour hand with its LED lights powered by the energy stored during the day. This clock has been designed to be able to sense the strength of the light in its environment; therefore, the LEDs will illuminate gradually to make sure you can always see the light which tells the time.

The traditional perception about yachting can only be described through luxury, fun, and a huge hole in your pocket. However, the outcome of an extensive research by Hyun-Seok Kim named ‘Extremely easy and low cost yacht for everybody’ has been carefully designed to reform this general perception by making this yacht easily attainable for all range of users.

This concept aimed to combine a balanced proportion of active fun exercise with extremely ease of use along with a low cost construction backed with extremely low running cost for giving a reasonable yachting experience for mass people. Only wind and human power requires running the yacht, making it completely emission free for complementing to the environment. Plastic, fiberglass and aluminum alloy has been used as the main materials to make the main hull. Not only that, the customizable construction of the yacht makes it perfect to be used as a road transportation vehicle or a luxury floating platform where users can have a great and enjoyable time.

When power would be the most concerned issue for future civilization, designing energy efficient product is not enough; rather, power generating systems that can transform natural energy into usable power is more important. Aard concept combines a wind and solar power accumulating system into a sleek and simple product with a goal to contribute to the future power requirements.

This concept with a round shape features flexible photovoltaic modules that can accumulate solar power during daytime, also when wind gets strong, the ball starts with spin and produces electricity through the dynamos with each of the eight wings. The aluminum construction with basic blue color have given the product a beautiful look that can complement to the urban architectural environment as well as areas that are covered by nature. Moreover, the round shape of the product eliminates the need of turn and adjusting it according to the direction of sunshine.

Traffic lights are one of the most overlooked things in our everyday life which I guess would left behind forever unless Cheng Tsung envisioned this energy efficient and eco-friendly traffic light concept that features innovative color-changing LED technology instead of existing incandescent bulbs. This will enable even the visually impaired or color blind people to read the traffic lights through strong visual sense created by only one light. Rather than taking electricity from the power grid, this concept features solar panel on the surface through which it accumulates solar energy which will save around 1 billion degrees of electricity every year.

I don’t think that would be a good option considering the cost non-efficiency. The solution is Eco Ball, a sustainable portable sound system concept that can charge itself from the solar energy anywhere you go and provide seamless music with distinct and high quality sound. Moreover, the stylish appearance and intelligent construction along with the ease of carrying the speaker with the help of the carry belt have made it an indispensable part of music lover’s life. When not in use, the bright colored, round speaker remains attached with the shoulder strap to ensure ultimate carrying convenience. When its time to enjoy music, it can be divided into two parts to get true surround sound.
