www.netbooknews.com At Google I yesterday Android 2.2 codenamed Froyo was released and it includes support for Adobe Flash & Adobe Air. David Smidt gives us a demo of the Full internet running on a Nexus One. If that wasn’t smooth and impressive enough he also shows up one click publishing using Adobe Air. Froyo brings Chrome’s V8 Javascript engine to the Android browser, promising three times the performance. The new OS also offers a new Dalvik JIT compiler purported to offer two to five times better performance on CPU-bound code, a Microsoft Exchange front-end, tethering tools that can transform handsets into portable hotspots, and several new APIs.
In this second round of our web browser speed test with Froyo on the Nexus One, we keep Flash turned off, and get much different results than last time.
