To address the need of eco friendly public facilities, Soyoung Park has been designed an Econology Life Bicycle Shelter. This bicycle shelter concept combines 2 important elements in human’s life : nature and technology. The green space and morphological characteristics that rise from surface of the land symbolically express nature within surrounding environment. An electronic media wall helps all bicycle riders with its navigation that consumes minimal electricity with the use of solar panels. A great shelter for your bicycle or just to hangout.

How iPad Technology and iPhone Apps Expand Liberty

Got a pothole? There’s an app for that. Need a medical marijuana dispensary? There’s an app for that, too. Reason.tv’s Ted Balaker sat down with Matt Harrison and Justin Hartfield of the Prometheus Institute to discuss how new technology can expand liberty. Harrison and Hartfield are the creators of the Do-it-Yourself Democracy iPhone application, which allows users to expose government waste, organize protests, or simply hector officials into finally fixing a long-neglected pothole. Hartfield is also the creator of WeedMaps.com, a site and iPhone app that locates medical marijuana dispensaries and allows users to interact with other medical marijuana patients. Other topics include: Revamping classic libertarian books with iPad technology and how Steve Jobs manages to be both an uber-capitalist and a progressive hero. Interview by Ted Balaker. Synteractive Uses Cloud Technology to Create Novel Social Networking Software

Synteractive is a Washington, DC–based strategy and business solution provider with expertise in public sector projects, including the Obama administration’s Recovery.gov web initiative. Synteractive saw a market opportunity for social networking software that could be used to interact with very large audiences. It designed such an application, which it called SocialRally , by using the Windows Azure platform and Microsoft TownHall social networking technology. The solution, which offers a standards-friendly website, also works with Windows Phone 7 and other mobile devices. SocialRally is a highly scalable, cost-effective application that provides organizations with rich channels for interacting with and receiving real-time feedback from very large user audiences and that has broad private- and public-sector appeal.
