These days, the urban outdoor vehicle becomes a recurrent issue primarily when it comes to urban planning. In order to cope up with this situation, an excellent urban cab concept grounded on a scooter model has been designed. With its miniature concept, Fluidi can be on the move at all time. Its small size allows it to avoid the traffic jams and hence saves time when taking clients to their destination. Furthermore, Fluidi’s interior space can also be used to transport goods. The global identity of Fluidi reinforces the electrical trends sedans, the very idea of fluidity and security, while remaining safe with perceptible aluminum structures. This vehicle works solely with electric technology and is eco-friendly in nature, being made of recyclable materials.

Designers : Arthur Kenzo, François Hurtaud, and Anne-Sophie Blanchet

Kaohsiung Port Terminal is the result from an experiment of dynamic 3-dimensional urbanism that amplifies the flow of pedestrian traffic. It’s been designed with an elevated and activated boardwalk that runs continuously along the water. Beneath this level of public promenade, people can find cruise and ferry functions located just below. These multiple layers create a dense range of programs, while separating the cruises and ferries will help maintaining secure areas for departing or arriving passengers.

Furthermore, the elevated space connects the new Pop Music Center, the arts and shopping districts within a green necklace along the waterfront. In the future, clusters of commercial entities will grow along the walk which will ensure the continuous economic viability of the port terminal, sustaining and amplifying the periodic maritime uses of the cruise terminal and ferries.

The project is scheduled for construction in 2012 and expected to be in operation by 2014, with a construction budget of approximately $85,000,000 USD.

Traffic lights are one of the most overlooked things in our everyday life which I guess would left behind forever unless Cheng Tsung envisioned this energy efficient and eco-friendly traffic light concept that features innovative color-changing LED technology instead of existing incandescent bulbs. This will enable even the visually impaired or color blind people to read the traffic lights through strong visual sense created by only one light. Rather than taking electricity from the power grid, this concept features solar panel on the surface through which it accumulates solar energy which will save around 1 billion degrees of electricity every year.

Designer : Feng Cheng-Tsung, Wang Bo-Jin, and Lin Yao-Jie
